The word 耽翫 (/taŋɡaɴ/) represents the feeling of being so wholly consumed by a beautiful thing that the world outside of it ceases to exist.
It is the scholar who meant to read a single page and surfaces, blinking, to find the candle burned to nothing and the night already old.
It is the composer dissolved into music, seeing in the sound waves the vivid colors of their life.
